2007.10.10.
The following files are similar to the ones in the files
sundl_02.* below. They, too, contain samples of
generating vertical and horizontal sundials for various cities,
but I have added more in these files.
2007.10.11.
Please note: The code for generating sundials is
experimental. I will do my best to ensure that they are correct, but
I cannot guarantee this. I would be grateful for any corrections.
2007.10.11.
Please note: The perspective projections are duplicated at the
front of the document, so it's probably not a good idea to
print out the entire file!
2007.10.11.
I have put the code for generating the images into a macro called
draw_sundials. The definition is contained in the file
sundl_03.lmc, which is included in sundl_03.ldf.
draw_sundials is also included in the file
sundials.lmc in the distribution,
but that version is likely to change. It may change in ways that
will break the code in sundl_03.ldf, which is
why sundl_03.ldf includes sundl_03.lmc
and not sundials.lmc.
The definition of draw_sundials in sundl_03.lmc
is not completely bullet-proof.

2007.10.07. The following files contain samples of generating vertical and horizontal sundials for the latitudes of Chicago, Illinois, USA, Göttingen, Germany, and London, UK. The time division lines are found by means of intersecting planes.

The following files currently contain the source files for generating
a plan of a dodecahedron with a single sundial face and the output.
There are additional diagrams illustrating how the face is found.
I plan to add additional sundial faces for other more-or-less
southward-pointing faces.
