5.4 Builtin Index Macros

RefTeX by default recognizes the \index and \glossary macros which are defined in the LaTeX core. It has also builtin support for the re-implementations of \index in the ‘multind’ and ‘index’ packages. However, since the different definitions of the \index macro are incompatible, you will have to explicitly specify the index style used.
